Indonesia Raises Interest Rate to 7.25 Percent
In an effort to stabilize the rupiah to stem Inflation,
Indonesia raised the key interest rate to 7.25 percent.
Prior to the decision, the Indonesian currency was continuing to weaken. Seventy percent of
analysts expected rates to remain unchanged.
