Vietnam’s Asset Management Company
will begin buying bad debt from banks in order to free up credit and stimulate
the economy, reports Bloomberg News. The newly formed government agency plans
to purchase bad debt at book value over the next two months and auction off the
acquired debt to foreign investors in 2014.
